SOS Founder John Ungerleider

John Ungerleider, EdD, has been leading communication and peacebuilding trainings across cultures for the past 30 years.  His workshops are engaging, experiential, and interactive – you don’t just sit and listen!

John is now the Director of the Greater Falls Community Justice Center in southern Vermont. He has taught in formal university and informal community settings, such as SIT, Brandeis, Hampshire, Community College of Vermont, and Universidad Jaume in Spain, as a Fulbright Senior Scholar in Cyprus, and trained peacebuilders in such places as Israel/Palestine, China, Uganda, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Spain, Georgia, and Turkey. 

John directs the Vermont Governor's Institute on Current Issues and Youth Activism. He founded the World Learning Youth Peacebuilding and Leadership Programs, which have hosted over 12,000 participants since 1990, as well as the Child Labor Education and Action (CLEA) project.
